hello, Fall! hello, y’all! It’s been over a month since i have blogged. I have had a lot of blogs locked and loaded, but haven’t pulled the trigger to publish them. It’s important that i share content that inspires me and that I feel good about sharing. I won’t just post just for posting sake. We consume a lot of content on the daily. We are all constantly on our phones. (From social media, online shopping, and texting etc etc)
I want it to be authentic and real.
Last time we talked i was “ drained and in my feelings” but I’m in a GOOD place. I also felt it was only right that i get back in the flow of sharing stories as we finish the 3rd quarter of the year and finish strong in 4th.
So what’s been up?
I have been sharing my #jazzyintheSEA adventures through my social media channels and not on the site. All the action has been on the instastories (you watching/following or nah? don’t be a ghost follower! lol)
Anyway, I am redirecting the content to the blog. We will get back into a cadence.
Summer is over and i’ll be snuggling up (hopefully with a boo, it’s cuffing season) coffee, books and writing a lot more.
On another note, I’m a startup chaser, and I was laid off from my job. (I’m good y’all, that’s the nature of the innovation beast. 60% of the company was laid off. I experienced this similar situation when i was in the drone industry.)
In a way I think I prayed it away lol. I said the prayer for God to remove anything/ anyone that was BLOCKING me from my purpose. And honey shit starting happening FAST.
I have been praying on my purpose and for God to provide me with the tools execute my purpose. I feel like the layoff was His first move to place me in my purpose.

His grace has provided me with multiple clients that i have been doing marketing/ creative services for. Consulting has always been a side hustle for me, but I didn’t think I’d be in in it full time at this moment in my life. It’s liberating.
Grace can take you places that hustling can’t.
Hold the vision and trust the process.
Following you heart and your dreams can be scary.
Trust your gut.
Take the leap of faith.

The freedom and flexiblity has allowed me to follow and focus on my dreams.
I have also spent the last few weeks brainstorming with creatives and cultivating the vision for my stories and to share “ your stories”.
It is bigger than me. It is bigger than the blog. Balancing my personal brand and clients has required a lot of dicipline, but it’s rewarding.
I am creating some cool shit and I can’t wait to share it with you!

Summer was LIT! I am tired and ready for winter on the cool. lol
For a few days durning the summer i was looking for the rain with a flashlight.
I had to check myself! You want the rain?
Are you a Seattlelite now? lol Maybe i am becoming one. lol
My mom was right. ( AGAIN, gotta give her credit, cause she will be looking for it all on the blog honey. smh lol)
Seattle is dope and I love it here.
This summer I had “my people” and my calendar was PACKED to the max.
Rooftops, crop-tops, brunches, boats, bumbershoot music fest, concerts, happy hours,
sweet life in the suites at the UW game (s/o to my mamas they are the plugs) and visits from my bros and bestie!
Calendar invites were and still are mandatory for ya girl. lol I am BOOKED and BUSY!
Here are some of my favorite highlights from my summer in the SEA!
see ya summer! hello, Fall!
Last weekend i hopped in the car with a few friends for a mini getaway to Lyden, Washington. We drove an hour and forty-five minutes to celebrate Clare’s 33rd birthday with a day of apple picking at BelleWood Acres.
BelleWood Acres is home to one of Northwest Washington's largest apple orchards. It is a 25,000 tree orchard! You can pick your own apples and your own pumpkins from their pumpkin patch. They also have a BOMB farmers market, apple flavored donuts and warm cider.
We purchased our $4 tickets to ride the tractor train to the orchids, and then the rain began to POUR down. No rain, no apples. We were here for an apple adventure and this rain wasn’t gonna stop this show!
We grabbed our rain jackets and umbrellas and boarded the train to the orchid. I felt free out there.
The air was crisp and the apple orchids were beautiful.
It was the simplest and sweetest September day.
We wandered through apple rows and tasted the 20 different types of delicious apple varieties including Jonagold, Sansa, Honeycrisp and Golden Supreme.
Quick Tips for Apple Picking:
Dress in layers, bring a rain coat.
Don’t wear you fly kicks. lol (I learned my lesson after the Tulip Festival in Mt. Veron)
Harvest season begins in late Aug. and runs through the end of October, however check their ripening calendar on their social media pages
Eat the apple donuts.
Drink the spiked apple cider. ( Ask for 2 shots) lol
Share a 2 pound bag of apples with a friend. You will get a discount on your tractor train ride.
Bring the kiddos! They will love it just as much as the adults.
Gather your folks and go apple picking at Bellewood Acres!
